Shelf life
Usually good several days past the date if it smells clean and pours smooth. Sour smell or lumps = no.
Storage
Back of the fridge, not the door. Below 4°C, cap on tight.
Freezing
Freezes well in the bottle with a little space at the top. Thaw in the fridge and shake before use.
Edible parts
All of it. Slightly-turned milk is still fine for baking scones, pancakes and bread.
Common mistakes
- · Storing in the fridge door
- · Trusting the date over your nose
- · Pouring away milk that's only just turned
Waste less
- · Turning milk → pancakes, soda bread, béchamel
- · Freeze in ice-cube trays for coffee and cooking
